The most successful game derived from crowdfunding, i.e. by money of their own players, the promising Star Citizen, which once topped $ 77 million on his campaign. An amount that scares me especially when you consider that a AAA game wants average about 20-25 million dollars to make. The space sim of Chris Roberts, Cloud Imperium, is expected to put the 2016 exclusively on PC.
