New study reveals different usage by age
A new ComScore study conducted in the us tells us how your age can reveal the basis of social media that you prefer. The platform that makes breaking in young people is the Snapchat with 71% of users are aged between 18-34 years old. Facebook is less popular among young people, with just 38% of users belonging to the Group of 18-34, while Twitter has 41% of users in this age group. Other popular social media in these ages are the Vine, the Tumblr and Instagram.
Over one-tenth of Facebook users has reached retirement age, i.e. 65 +, and at this age the Snapchat has just 1% share. The excess of 34 users still prefer platforms like Google + Twitter and on Pinterest. The survey did not include people under 18, the age at which the reins holding the Snapchat. However Facebook remains the most popular social networking tool in the u.s., after using it for 81% of the digital population.
